Building Muscle and Losing Fat at the Same Time?

Is it possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time?

For example, what would happen if I added 10-20 minutes of HIIT at the end of my workouts?

I seemed to have gained muscle and lost fat on the omega program thus far. I'm sure the effect would have been greater if I was as anal about my diet in the first 3-4 weeks as I have been in the last 3-4

high protein diet mixed with a solid training program and anabolics you most certainly can

forget the training and high protein
that would be true only for newbies

Anabolics would be the only way for anyone with any time in the gym
It's just the physiology of insulin. Either it's present in elevated levels in the blood or it's not. If it is , fat loss is not possible. If it's at low levels then epinephrine , norepinephrine , cAMP, dompamine , taurine , tyrosine and other chemicals and precursors which act on alpha adregenic and beta adregenic receptors can do thier job.

It is possible, but for anyone who's not a beginner, it generally requires an OCD-like obsession to nutrient intake and timing. One plan I've heard that does the job is essentially based on following fat loss protocols all the time except for post-workout, at which point you eat the majority of your calories.

yea i have been on the 5x5 and i have been eating more than i usually do to gain weight and it hasent been the cleanist but i have still gained weight and from what i ca see have lost some fat

so just eat clean and lift

Is it possible? - yes
Is it the most efficient way to see gains? - no

Body builders go on cut and bulk cycles because to gain muscle at any efficient level you need a high calorie intake. To lose fat you need a lower calorie intake. If your calories are too low, your body goes into a state of catosis. Which means it won' t build muscle at the optimum level. Your gains will be slower.
