The other thing people always say is "but it's all natural". I always point out that cocaine is too. Or snake venom. That doesn't mean we should consider either a "healthy" part of our daily diets.
I think it's easier to resist that kind of stuff now. On the occasions that I actually have cheat food at work 1) everyone gives me such a hard time about how I'm being a "fallen dietary angel" or some sort and 2) it never even tastes that good. The guy next to me is less-than-lean and sits there sipping slim fast for breakfast shaking his head that I'm eating almonds. It floors me that people don't see the connection between my body fat and what I do/do not eat.
I don't force my lifestyle on other people. I'm certainly glad to share information when people ask and will even do more research if I don't feel I can give a solid answer, but I wouldn't try to convert someone. I don't even make my bf eat clean. I just buy him junk food that I wouldn't eat if someone paid me. To each their own.
