brownies in the office...

The other thing people always say is "but it's all natural". I always point out that cocaine is too. Or snake venom. That doesn't mean we should consider either a "healthy" part of our daily diets.

I think it's easier to resist that kind of stuff now. On the occasions that I actually have cheat food at work 1) everyone gives me such a hard time about how I'm being a "fallen dietary angel" or some sort and 2) it never even tastes that good. The guy next to me is less-than-lean and sits there sipping slim fast for breakfast shaking his head that I'm eating almonds. It floors me that people don't see the connection between my body fat and what I do/do not eat.

I don't force my lifestyle on other people. I'm certainly glad to share information when people ask and will even do more research if I don't feel I can give a solid answer, but I wouldn't try to convert someone. I don't even make my bf eat clean. I just buy him junk food that I wouldn't eat if someone paid me. To each their own.

:FRlol:

Raina, good example, I use the golden-arrow-poison toad for people who use the "its all natural" line. Its totally natural, but if you put it in your mouth, you'll still be dead in less than one minute.

First they don't understand why you eat this or that and why you avoid those crap

Then they feel jealous because they know they are not eating clean but they don't have the will power to change their habits, eat healthy and move their fat ass :D

AMEN!

Reading through this thread totally hit home for me. I work with pretty much all women and they ALL give me crap for the way I eat. I don't do the low-carb deal anymore, but I still limit my carbs. I really get annoyed when I let them get to me for giving me shit about not wanting to go out after work for dinner and/or drinks. I have ONE cheat day a week, and god for bid I should want to save it for the weekend and not use it within the first few days of the week to go out with them. They are always asking me for advice, so I tell them what I think or about stuff that I've learned on here. Of course they don't listen to anything I say, but whatever...I wish people would just mind their own business. One of these days, I am going to sit there and critique everything they eat and see how they like it. Just because they are saying shit to me about being strict with myself and trying to eat as healthy as possible, they think it's ok. BUT, God forbid I would say one thing about their shitty eating habits...
