Yeah that was some good ground and pound.DORIANHH said:Just seen his first MMA win against Min Soo Kim. The guy's am animal.

Not if he doesn't have a stand-up game.shottabiggs said:In a few years he will be heavyweight champion.

chilisauce1 said:LMAO...everyone's an expert on MMA these days. Lesner will dominate. Just give him time.
rfowler said:I fight mma and I can say with certainty that just because he looks the part doesnt mean anything. Everyone thinks they can fight mma until they get in the cage and experience the mental aspect of it, the chess match. The smarter fighter will win 90% of the time. He has the tools but does he have the chin and the brains, that remains to be seen.
OMG! whatever dude, listen to yourself. I think you're the one who is trying to be the "expert" herechilisauce1 said:LMAO...everyone's an expert on MMA these days. Lesner will dominate. Just give him time.

crazyjoe said:OMG! whatever dude, listen to yourself. I think you're the one who is trying to be the "expert" here. I was simply stating something that is kinda common sense. If you're one dimensional and the only thing you're good at is wrestling, and you have no stand-up game, then you're not going to get very far. It doesn't take a fuckin "expert"like I apparently am, according to you, to know that. The key word in my earlier post was the word IF.
redsamurai said:Just like everyone thought, myself included, that crocop would run through the HW division here. Remember when Lesnar tried to play ball? He was getting "BEASTED" by practice squad lineman. Point is, someone who's been doing something since they were 12 is going to be better than someone, no matter how physically gifted......has been doing for a short period of time. You know how many schools these guys train with before they're anything in MMA? And they've been doing it since they were in high school. Lesnar was a great wrestler from what I've heard, but how good do outright wrestlers do in the UFC? It's a component, just like submissions are and just like standup is. Doesn't take an expert to see that the best fighters in the world are very, very, very well rounded. That takes years to develop. You put Lesnar in the ring with even a second tier HW like Vera.....he's getting owned.
shottabiggs said:No one will "Beast" Lesner on the mats.
Lesner currently trains wrestling with the 2007 ncaa HW wrestling champ.
He is the new breed of fighter.
They just train at the same school Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. Lesnar is alittle big for sherk. lol They are working on Brock's striking and his old assistant wrestling coach/training partner helps him alot.gjohnson5 said:Brock trains with Sean Sherk??

I miss watching him. Now there is a guy that is Very well rounded.nutshairy said:fedor is king of the heavys
shottabiggs said:Jake O'brien is a one dimensional wrestler, who is undefeated. Cheick Kongo only has striking and can't stay off his back. Both are top ten. Brock Lesner can hang with any top heavyweight.
redsamurai said:"new breed"?? Do you watch MMA bor? The "new breed" of fighters are guys that are beasts on the ground or standing........period!! The one dimensional guys are going down like every other month now. And Kongo is a taller Crocop who will be grounded and submitted very shortly unless he up's his game. His win over Crocop didn't impress me due to Crocop now being exposed as just a K1 striker with a wicked left foot. Kongo used his reach to stay outside the whole match, and crocop doens't have the tools to make him pay for that. And I'm very underwhelmed by his striking power...........Gonzaga would put him on the floor with "one" right hand. This guy had crocop dead to rights for 3 rounds and couldn't finish him..........one dimensional. Sorry, but guys like Fedor, Couture, Henderson and Rampage are the "new breed" so to speak. Lesnar has YEARS to go before he's going to make an impact in the UFC. Guys from pride who have fought Bob Sapp will not be afraid of Lesnar, and there goes his biggest advantage.......inimidation. Top tier fighters aren't fazed by size and "mean looks" in the slightest. If you honestly think a straight ground and pound wrestler is going to dominate the top HW's in the world.........you haven't been watching MMA in the last couple years.
That being said I think it would be awesome to see Lesnar come out and tool people, I love that guy..........but he'd better be well rounded or he's going to get hurt.
Ralph_Wiggum said:Hey, you're leaving out GSP, BJ Penn, Tyson Griffin, Nick Diaz, Gomi, and Anderson Silva in your list!![]()
I disagree with your opinion of Crocop, but, your observations about his last fight are dead on.

and the interview after wards .brock looks like a freak but his face looks like a young 15 yr old english school boy ,all round soft and red in the cheeks.
I think MMA has become entertainment and are rigged up just the same way boxing was but not as bad as wrestling.
he will have his fame untill the next thing comes along.
I mean back in the day when it was shamrock i think it was more real but even then I think he threw a few matches.

marshallmadman said:I couldn't agree more. UFC is rigged. Anyone that saw the Tim Silvia/Randy Couture fight would definitely agree. They were laying on the floor the whole first round having a very nice conversation.
shottabiggs said:And you probably have never been in a fight in your life.
Would Floyd Mayweather would beat Sean Sherk? Not a chance.
But I guess we see things differently.
redsamurai said:I agree that the UFC "more than likely" is NOT rigged. But who knows..........these guys roll all the time in training, so it might not be too hard to put on a good show. At the lower levels though, absolutely not...........those guys are balling out trying to get to the bigs.
rfowler said:your so right bro, the fights my team goes to are guys banging for a chance to get into the dance
