Sorry to hear Brian, but I think Jay is right that everytime you compete it will be a learning experience that you can use to help you. I pulled 405 in my firt meet, but I was dissapointed with that. I knew I had pulled more in the gym and felt like I had bombed.
Good luck with the 5 bills too!! You'll get it, just stick with your game plan and learn from this experience.
Your 10 year old son only weighs a few lbs less than me!!! I'm freakin 22, lol. Awesome to see him into it so early. If he stays with it he's gonna be a monster in the teen and juniors classes with all that experience and a damn good lifting coach/dad helpin him out. I wish him luck as well.
