Boston's $14.8B Big Dig finally complete

How does the Big Dig help me in West Florida? How is a 700% cost overrun justified? The biggest boondoggle in the history of Union labor.

employed half of Massachusetts labor! lol

Thanks Tip O'Neil

with a per capita income of $23,900 for boston Metro's 3.4m residents it comes out to about $4000 in tax money spent for every man, woman and child. Way more than the annual tax levy on those same person. Which means they got more than thier fair share of their levy on one single project.

lots of blue collar dudes driving BMWs in Boston living the high life now...

In joking (although not funny) people often say their kids should of been a construction worker rather than go to college...they may be right here.

when you are working=money is good
unfortunatly, it never lasts and you are unemployed before long

I heard the other day that the woman that got crushed family got a big settlement.

I was in Boston in 06 pretty interesting place. Way different than here that is for sure. I did the duck boat tour thing too. LOL

this is a good day for taxpayers - shitty day for contracting companies - who are now seeing their cash cow finally come to an end.

$14b they snagged from taxpayers. their party is over. they're about as bad as long shoremen.

It works great. It took 2 1/2 hrs to go from cambridge to the airport back in the day. Last summer it took about 1/2 hour.
