They were inciting a riot throwing stones at the border patrol. The rocks could have killed so use the firearms to protect yourself. Maybe shoot at his leg but than again he is using tax payer money to heal that thigh up.
 
Perhaps we actualy have two seperate issues here. One being someone throwing stones. I seem to recall, in ancient times, this is how they would kill alot of people that broke the law. So, this threat should be taken as a possible deadly attack. I am sure it probably wasn't one or two small stones. Question; would the patro have shot if this had been a US citizen ? I would hope the answer is a resounding YES.
The second issue would seem to be that someone wants us to think that that we should feel bad because of all the preious immagrants that have come to this country over our history. The difference is called "LEGAL" and "ILLEGAL". The problem is that our govrnment has turned a blind eye to this issue for too many decades and now there are too many illegals here in this country.
How about this for all of the illegals that are here now; you can stay if you perform a 4 year time of service in our US military and be willing to die for all of the freedoms that you now want for nothing.

I see no problem in what the Border Officer did. If the question is, did the Officer use Disproportionate force the answer would be NO.

The officer ended the threat to him and only killed that threat. If he had employed that force for another purpose than ending that threat then it would be excessive or Disproportionate.

Just maybe the Mexican Goverment (term used lightly) could patrol their side of the border as throughly as we do, perhaps this would not be a problem.

This will send a message however much that message cost that we legal Americans are not going to stand by and be the punching bag to every group that feels wronged by us. The days of turning the cheek are over.

The question should be What is a minor doing playing on the border of a hotly contested issue? It falls under parenting and that poor boy and his illresponsable parents received what they deserved. The consequences of ignorant actions

And as far as fucking women and children, when you have been some of the places I have been, you find very quickly that the ones who you have a soft spot for, are the ones to fear most. Why are we having problems only with the Mexican border? Why is Mexico having issue with us enforcing our weak ass Illegal Immigration laws? Mexico's immigration laws are more harsh than our own! We should hold all Mexican border crossing illegals to the same laws Mexico has, so they can't say anything.

If we did away with welfare, Illegal Immigration would fix itself.

US citizen children can get assistance. When the benefit amount for the child is calculated, the undocumented parent's income is included in eligibility calculations and effectively reduces the amount of benefits given to the child, but the undocumented members of the household are not given their own benefits. So basically, a poor US citizen kid with undocumented parents would get less food stamps than a poor US citizen kid with documented parents. No one comes here so their future children can get $25 worth of food stamps a month. They come here for jobs.

I'm not arguing policy change, I'm explaining the law as it currently stands. Once I get you up to speed we can have a fun, involved discussion. But there is no point in arguing with people who don't understand the basics.
 
i know the laws.. i know whats supposed to happen. if laws were inforced or even attempted to be inforced we might not have this problem. how many illegals do you know? mofos that worked at my buddies gyro place had gov debit cards for christ sake. they could buy beer with them. they were not citezens..

The laws are enforced, and I doubt you know them. Not being a citizen does not make one an "illegal." By law, an individual that has had lawful permanent resident status (a greencard) for at least 5 years is eligible for most public benefits. The card you are talking about is an EBT card, which is the modern day food stamp. The card was most likely food stamps for the US citizen child or your friend's gyro making friend was an LPR and was eligible for benefits. All poors can buy beer with their food stamps card, that is nothing new.

In IL you get LINK cards for food stamps. you cannot by alcohol or even name brand shit. thats why blacks and mexicans will sell them to you in the city. u can get like 300 worth of food for a fifty off a bumb.

Stef, I live in the most "undocumented" friendly state in the union I believe, and let me tell you that no matter what the law is they are collecting benefits. My wife was an office manager and one of the women working there had an "undocumented" husband. I had know her since childhood and she was very open with us about things. Her parents were here illegally, Ooops! "undocumented" and working. Employers were paying them under the table until the employers started to be penalized. Then they produced SSN to claim and the employers made them salaried employees, even paying the workmans comp and ss taxes. They would go on unemployment, and receive assistance between seasons by using these same ssn #'s. Did it for years. The kids finally got them to go through the naturalization process. This is only one family I knew. When the weather gets bad and the construction guys don't work the bars are full of illegals. The reason? They can't go home during the day for fear of having the welfare agents checking up on them. Their wives claim the husbands knocked them up and left them in this country alone and with children, they get WIC, Welfare, take the kids to the E.R. for medical, and get to send their kids to school.

I'm not against benefits for those that truly need help. I'm totally against benefits for those who could work if they had no choice. No race, or any considerations involved! EVERYONE would need to be doing something in order to receive ANYTHING.

If Veterans returning from combat can get a job while missing a limb, or vision, etc. then why is an able bodied piece of crap collecting benefits??? Cleaning crews, park maintenance, grounds keeping, child care, road crews, etc could all be manned up by welfare recipients. They can clean off the graffiti their kids put up, they can take care of the neighbors kids while she goes down to the courthouse to tend the flowerbeds. Some can cook the meals for these workers, while others could work on farms that grow food to feed themselves. Why should the middle class have to take care of the no class low life types, while the low life could take care of their own? It would soon no longer be a problem.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — At least 30 gunmen burst into a drug rehabilitation center in a Mexican border state capital and opened fire, killing 19 men and wounding several others, police said.

The killings happened late Thursday at the Faith and Life center in Chihuahua city, about 210 miles (350 kilometers) south of Ciudad Juarez and the border with El Paso, Texas, said state police spokesman Fidel Banuelos.

They came a day after unidentified assailants killed one man and wounded another at a rehab center in Ciudad Juarez.

This part confuses me. The "naturalization process" is when you go from a lawful permanent resident (LPR) to a citizen. In order to naturalize you have to be an LPR for 5 years (unless you're the spouse of a US citizen, and then you only have to be an LPR for 3 years). If they naturalized, they would have been LPRs, and "legal," before their kids convinced them to do so.

If you mean that their kids petitioned for them to get family based immigration visas, well that is different. If you are undoc and you have a USC kid, that kid can't petition for you (apply to get you a greencard) until he/she is 21. THEN, you have to wait for your priority date to come up. As of this month, parents of USC children who filed for them in March of 1995 are just now able to adjust to get their greencards/become LPRS. It isn't like the kids said "come on mom and dad, let's go to the immigration office and get you legal" and they walked out with a greencard. The parents might have been waiting 15 years for their priority date to come up. Even if your priority date does come up, there are further barriers to actually getting your LPR status, but I won't bore you with the details.

And I'm totally with you on the whole, people who can work shouldn't get benefits thing. And I'm even willing to agree that some undocs steal benefits and lie just like some USCs steal benefits and lie. But the process isn't just, give me a SS Number and take your money. The food stamps office and the office of unemployment (the agency names vary from state to state)are in direct communication with the Department of Homeland Security. They check to see if the name matches the number/ the same number is being used on multiple accounts. I'm constantly having to fax and refax and fax again clients' greencards to various state agencies.

If what you're talking about happened prior to 1996, I can imagine that there were far more "loopholes." But the law changed drastically and you have to jump through some serious hoops to get benefits now.
