they say all this shit about if you are sick, you must go to sick call...but then they always say if you miss ANYTHING you will be recycled.

it's all bullshit, they just say that to scare off the sick call rangers.

No, his foot problems started in basic, then he caught a case of skin fungus later. Smart guy like you should know skin fungus has nothing to do with dirt, he showers every day. I've had ringworm myself, you gonna call me dirty? Caught the ringworm from my mother in laws cat.

i'm not sure about the navy's basic training, so i can't help you much there.

all i can say is WASH YOUR HANDS EVERY CHANCE YOU GET

you will be surrounded by dirty, nasty, sick people who will cough, sneeze, and spit all over everything.

basic is a pain in the ass as it is, but having to do everything sick is even worse.

Sound advice...

Also, sleep every chance you get...your body needs the rest to keep your immune system up.

We all caught the rickie crud in the first week of boot, but nothing else. Being in close proximity with 80 other recruits, everyone got cold-flu like symptoms. Then we got the Bicillin square needle in the left cheek and felt great in a day.

most foot problems i saw in basic were from the nasty people who wore dirty shit, didn't change their socks, slept in their boots during FTX, etc.

and if he doesn't wear shower shoes....that's on him. the showers in the barracks are like baskin robbins with 60+ different flavors of semen on the floor.

see i didnt get sick until like week 8 , but yea that fuckin needle god damn , i could hardly walk the next day
