Bone structure

I've noticed that most guys waist sizes are alot smaller than mine. I am not fat. I am trying to lose weight right now but, my waist size is 37.5. To look at me you would never guess that. I look much slimmer. My question is, if there is very little visible fat on me, can I still get my waist smaller? I bet if I were totally ripped I would still have about a 35 inch waist. Whta are your thoughts?

it may not be just your waist. This may not be the case but you may need to build up your back (lats) to give you that V shape. That really helps to make your waist look smaller. Other than that all I can suggest if working on the love handles (if you have any).

Thanks, I understand that. But is it possible to have a bone structure where you can have a low bodyfat but a big waist? My bodyfat right now is probably the same as it was....a year and a half ago...and my waist was about 33 then.

Garza, yes I'm the same way if I go by pants size. I've got rather wide hips for a guy, and my abs are damn large, so my waist measurement is relatively high, considering my low bodyfat. It's a very individual measurement, IMO.

Hey man...look at the pics of me that I posted today...about having another fun Sunday. Look at my hips and how wide they are. I have really good signs of abs that I am trying very hard to cover up with a layer of fat right now. That suit is "fairly tight". It is not as tight as an Inzer Hardcore suit should be...but it is decently tight on my legs and hips.

I have a 38-39" waist with abs...that is just the way it is. Look at it this way...with a larger waist and hip bone structure...you will be stronger in the squat, deadlift, and many other exercises than most people:)

My whole upper body is fairly small, once I lose the fat I am sure i'll look alot better, but I don't see my waist size going below a 36 or so. My abs, I have never seen them.... Hoping all this jogging on an empty stomache thru orange groves will help that. Today was the 2nd day I did it, wish me luck. Nothing like the feeling you get after a nice jog in the morning.

Supposedly, ab vacuums can tighten up your midsection. Get on the floor doggy style and suck in, hold for a couple of seconds and slowly release.
