Omega -- I'm past caring about looking cool and trying to toss weight around only to hurt myself -- so if I don't worry about heavy lifting I assume form and focus become key. Assuming volume is important then do I up the total sets?? Chest for example - do I train it more than once week and what should total set be?? thanks a bunch for the help.
 
Rep threshold, and the lifting properly is KEY Yes :)

always favor Frequency in favor of recovery

this means basically train body parts as much as possible WITHOUT over training or taxing your CNS

Thanks for the pointers Omega -- I'll try to shift my rountine in that direction and see how it goes. I appreciate the help.

I would also like to see some articles, any kind of anerobic/aerobic exercise will benefit you longevity wise
