Bmi useless ---- bf useful

Was at my doc's for some routine blood levels & he had a expensive new machine that is apparently really hi tech for body composition.

It has sensors for both feet & hands

It gives a printout so I thought I'd share.

btw: My BMI is over 28 so according to the BMI formula I'm officially OBESE .... LOL ... Do I look obese ??

The useful BF (body fat) measurement is 9.6%

if you have muscle on your frame BMI is useless.. but it does show you have 'mass' .. whether that mass is muscle or fat we don't know without a pic. and yes according to your pic i would peg your body fat 9.5-11%. hard to tell though because you didn't shave. if you shaved off your hair i you would look much better.

My main reason for posting was to share the new technology my doctor had.

The $5,000 machine is extremely accurate and gives a detailed break down of your body parts
and their composition. The machine is the InBody 520 and you can google it.

If you look at the report hopefully you can see how it works. Not sure if people can see pics on here
