Best way to recover from an illness while off cycle

I'm right now on the downward slope of a nasty stomach virus. Let me just say that it sucked ass. There was violent vomiting and diereah (sp). I know I must have lost some size due to this illness. What would you all recommend would be the best course of action to return to my former state? Input appreciated. Cheers.

First off, let the virus run its cource. Your conditioning probably suffered more than your size and strength. I dont have enough info to give you accurate advice. Your dealing with a stomach virus, so obviously your diet,assuming your on one, went down the shi**er, so to speak.HA HA. Anyways, i would try to slowly get back on your diet. If you can eat without throwing it back up do so, otherwise, eat enough to where you want throw up. As far as training is concerned, play it by ear. You may have lost some strength, but thats not a big deal, its acceptable. Maybe try not to go to heavy and do a high rep workout, to build back your strength. This will also help you mentally b/c you want have to be concerned with the weight, due to your high rep routine, so you want get frustrated that you cant lift as heavy as you did before your illness. In time you will be back to your old self again. Be patient, Bro!!!
