Best version of 64-bit Linux OS for neophytes?

Big Rick Rock

I used Suse Linux a few years back and liked it fine.

Whats the best version of Linux OS in 64-bit to put in as a second OS in my PC?

I think ubuntu is the easiest to maintain.

I got it installed in my Comp on a partition about 120GB large...

I'll let you all know how it goes.

The updating is just like Windows, only a shitload faster. Just two mouse clicks and you're done. You never have to reinstall.

I have a 1TB drive and made a 12GB partition just for ubuntu... Now when I am in ubuntu it tells me the "Filesystem" partion has 163,504 items totaling 5.7GB "(some contents unredeable)" just below it says I got 9.4GB free.... It shows the rest of the HD as "Media" and says it is 864.2..

What the heck happened to my 120GB partition?

First off, is it 120GB or 12GB. Pick a number.

What are the main purposes in doing these thing?
Also do they enhance your computers performance?

I meant to say 120GB...

I'm just trying to figure out how many tutorials I need to read and apply before my PC can do this:

YouTube - Beryl

!
you can probably do some of it right away.

system - prefs - appearance - visual effects; sleect Extra.

Now drag an application window around. Now go to

system - prefs - compizconfig settings manager
