sore muscle are NOT due to lactic acid. (this myth never goes away)
it is simply due to the bodies response to the damage you are doing to it. no different than falling off your bicycle or getting into a car accident etc. you will be sore because the body is freaking out
with weight training soreness is more likely to happen if you are trying something new. the best thing you can do is REST. all these remedies you read about do very little to nothing when compared to getting a GREAT nights sleep. when you sleep at night your body goes into repair and recovery mode. and it must be deep stage sleep and natural. if you are taking drugs to fall asleep you actually will not get into a deep sleep.
