Best Supplements for Beginner Bodybuilder?

Hello, I am 22 years old. I want to get into bodybuilding because I am disgusted with my skinny body and I would feel a lot better about myself if I had more muscle mass. I know there is a routine somewhat popular on bodybuilding.com called "all pro's beginner routine" for beginning bodybuilders, I plan on doing that routine unless someone here can mention a better routine for a beginner trying to put on muscle mass.

With that said, I really want to put on muscle as quick as possible (I know it's not that easy) but I am sure there are supplements I can take as well as particular foods that I can eat in order to help my body speed up the muscle building process..

Can somebody please recommend supplements I can take as well as certain foods I should be eating in order to put on muscle mass? Thank you.

The biggest factor in determining your success (or lack there of) with your physique and fitness goals is going to be your diet and training. Stick with the 'bread and butter' supplements:
1. A high quality protein powder

2. A fish oil

3. A high quality multivitamin

4. Creatine

You could add a BCAA supplement to the above list but it isn't required. http://needtobuildmuscle.com/store/P...GEAR-p149.html

A good natural testosterone booster would be a good addition as well, if budget permits: http://needtobuildmuscle.com/store/Cycle-Support/HCGenerate-ES-p238.html

Stick to the basics. A proper diet, HARD training and consistency is what is going to give you the results you are after. Not some fancy pre-workout drink.

That workout routine on bodybuilding.com looks good for a beginner.

Here is a video for you to watch where I explain how to calculate your calorie, protein, carb and fat requirements based on your goals: http://www.evolutionary.org/forums/...s/nutrition-101-carbs-proteins-fat-46427.html

This is not how bodybuilding works. You will need a lot of time, money, tears and sweat.

When you realise that, only then start thinking of supplements.

supplements are your LAST option right now. i know it isn't what you hear on social media and from the 'dude at GNC' but it is the truth

if you hate your skinny body then you need to start being consistent with your training and diet. it isn't a bad thing at all to be skinny and start here, it is much better then starting out fat and having to cut down. as someone skinny you have all the room in the world to bulk the right way.

just remember consistently and patience. muscle takes time

The best things that are safe, cheap, and yet effective, are whey protein, creatine, and BCAA's, along with a good multivitamin and fish oil. However, you got to make sure that you will be getting high quality supplements, since you can get really good products, and really bad ones. Unfortunately, the cheapest ones will never be good, but the expensive ones are not always good either. For this reason, always pay attention to what is written on the label, and choose accordingly.

Number 1 for you will be food. You want to stock up on lean meats, eggs, veggies, oatmeal, rice, sweet potatoes. Those are some staple body building foods. Whatever training program you chose, just focus on the diet first and foremost.

During my bulk I will have red meat, avocado, rice, whole grain pasta, oatmeal, eggs, potato, chicken. I always rotate my source of carbs but these are a couple things I pick up frequently food shopping.
