Best place to advertise a PL meet?

Where would be the best place to promote an upcoming meet? It's only 4 weeks away, the guy putting on the show doesn't have much forethought. It will be Aug 10. in the Southeast.

Also, if they will let you, goheavy.com, and put up flyers at every gym in the area.

4 weeks is not enough time to get ready for a meet unless you are already in contest shape.

Your buddy needs to think farther ahead. Advertise in gyms and powerlifting usa, online, everywhere you can. Also, send newsletters to members of whatever org is putting on the meet.

You are welcome to put it up on my board. I don't know how many hits goheavy gets, but we get about 300 posts a day. (the website gets between 12,000 -17,000 hits a day)

Tell your friend for future reference, a lot of lifters won't even look at a meet unless they have ten or more weeks to train for it. I know I wouldn't.
