A strict diet will map out how you grow. Understanding the different ways different foods digest, and what is benefficial and such will get you off on the right foot.
Here are some tips for you
* Eat a hearty breakfast (as your body hasn't had food all night ! )
* Don't eat carbs 4 hours before you sleep (.. or you'll be wearing it tomorrow)
* You need fat, so eat healthy fats. (Olive oils, peanut butter, nuts, lean fat from meat protein source)
* Try never to let one of your meals balance out carbs and fat. Protein and Fat is okay (night) and protein and carbs is good (morning)
* If you are taking a protein shake after your workout, be sure to get a solid carb source going with it. Protein synthesis doesn't take place untill you've restored all the gylcogen (sp) that you've burned. ***Learn about Hi-GI and Low-GI carbs, and apply accordingly...

I've been lifting now on and off for two years. I got a killer shoulder injury im coping with right now, so I'm unable to reach my potential (heavy weight wize), so I've been SET training. I'm still getting big, however I just can't lift the heavyass weights like I was before.
Just FYI iv'e tried a lot of stuff before taking what I mentioned above. (No-Shotgun, TbombII, A-BOMB, NO-Explode, ON Proteins, Muscle tech, nitro tech, various GNC proteins, CEX, NOx.. and probably a few more.) and they dont come close.
You ever heard of .. "You get what you pay for" ? Well bodybuilding or whatever you'd like to call it .... is no different.
Welcome, enjoy your stay.
