best fruit to boost energy

Hey guys,
I will start taking protein shakes for my bulking process, I work out in the morning and feel some kind of laziness and my energy is low before heading the gym. The doctor once said my blood sugar can be low, but I changed insurance and never followed up, but feel fine daily. in the morning I just need to add some sugars to get me going, so what fruit can I put in my shake to boost my energy that wont make me fat? thanX.

There really is no such thing as a bad fruit but berries are a nutritional power house and pretty much the definition of a super food. They are low in calories, high in fibre and absolutely loaded with cancer fighting anti-oxidants.

I would buy a bag of frozen mixed berries that contains blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. Blend 6-8oz of the frozen berry mix with 1-2 scoops of a vanilla flavoured whey isolate protein and it'll taste like a berry milk shake. Super, simple and convenient.

your doctor is correct.

when you wake up in the morning you just went the entire night fasted. so of course you will wake up with low energy and blood sugar

the solution is eating a quality pre workout meal. drinking a shake isn't the best idea cause it can cause stomach upset during your workout

a pre workout meal is so important and rarely gets talked about cause supplement companies want you buying their shit.

my preworkout meal varies but you can start with a bowl of oatmeal with honey and banana/berries, 2 eggs, and a bagel/sweet potato

you get carbs, protein, calories, and energy from something like that

Whenever I bulk, I always have something like a banana+pineapple+berry fruitbowl for elevating sugar levels for workouts.

Helps for pumps as well

Fruit would be great for part of your pre workout meal in this case. I would try something like mixing either some berries in a cup of oatmeal or eating a banana with oatmeal. That would be good for carbs. I would also add in a couple whole eggs. On deadlift days I make it 3 whole eggs.
