Hi, I wanted to know what everyones favorite cardio for fat burning is? I used to do sprint intervals, however, that has put too much stress on my knee joints. What would be a good cardio workout and for how long?

Any type of cardio you enjoy doing is the best. With that said, it is important to pick something you can do low to med intensity with about 45 - 60 min in duration. Personally I like the bike and cross trainer becasuse you are saving your knees. Hopefully you are in this for the long haul. Let the young guys pound the payment.

Good luck!

I like sprints because I'm good at them. This is a two-sided coin. Yes, sprints are difficult, but you accomplish a great deal of fat-burning over a shorter period of time. Is it better to finish an intense workout in 15-20 min or too drag on at a moderate pace for an hour?

I am lucky, I am 43 and my knees have held up pretty good.

The best cardio activity is the one you enjoy the most. Don't make seem like work and you'll do it more. I love to bike so I go out for 25-40 mile rides when I have time. Otherwise I hop on the stationary with the HR monitor for 20-45 minutes.
