be sure you've got a glucose monitor and use it religiously!! i started doing insulin at only 2-3iu's post workout and got great results with that. you should start really low to see how your body is going to handle the slin. this can be some very dangerous $hit, so don't take any chances. 1 after you inject and eat your simple carbs, check you glucose levels. if you get to 40 or below then you need to chow down quick on a mountain dew or some othe soft drink to spike it back up again. you can't always tell if your going hypo. then check your glucose levels right before your next 2 meals since you're using humalog. so you should be eating like this:
workout
shake and 100g dextrose
1 hr. after shake check blood sugar and eat alot of good carbs and protien
2.5hrs later check blood levels eat more good carbs and protein
2.5hrs later " "
and never do slin before going to bed if you'd like to avoid waking up dead...
