best carbs to use after insulin?

used anabolics for awhile. good friend talked me into using insulin. and seems to really be working. ive been using 10 units when i wake and 10 units post work out about 12hrs later. im using humolog after i inject been drinking gatoraid mixed with creeatine and glutimine. then a protein shake with 70grams protein. so im intaking approx. 100grms of carbs but mostly sugar is this ok? going todo this 4days on 3days off. in one week i can tell a difference also taking 750 mg omnadrin wk.

seems a littly high for your first go round with slin. anyway, after your workout put 100g of dextrose in your protien shake. that's the best way imo... then about an hour later eat some good carbs like sweet potatoes, rice, etc. etc. along with chicken or lean meat. and eat a lot but try and keep it fairly clean. hope this helps.

That has nothing to do with it, you need to know what your blood sugar is doing.

Bro 84 is very low pre insulin, that's flirting with disaster. All I can say is keep eating and check the sugar.
 
i monitored my sugar about every 30 min. this first week and 84 was the lowest. i also keep some glucose paste on hand just in case. thanks for all the advise bros.

be sure you've got a glucose monitor and use it religiously!! i started doing insulin at only 2-3iu's post workout and got great results with that. you should start really low to see how your body is going to handle the slin. this can be some very dangerous $hit, so don't take any chances. 1 after you inject and eat your simple carbs, check you glucose levels. if you get to 40 or below then you need to chow down quick on a mountain dew or some othe soft drink to spike it back up again. you can't always tell if your going hypo. then check your glucose levels right before your next 2 meals since you're using humalog. so you should be eating like this:
workout
shake and 100g dextrose
1 hr. after shake check blood sugar and eat alot of good carbs and protien
2.5hrs later check blood levels eat more good carbs and protein
2.5hrs later " "
and never do slin before going to bed if you'd like to avoid waking up dead...
