Belated first Post

Hi All,:chomp:

I guess this is my 'belated first post'. So, here goes…

STATS

Height - 5'6" (66 cm)
Weight - 170 - 180 lb off season, 130 lb stage weight
Bodyfat – Currently guestimating ~25%, but am going in at month end for a test

GOALS

I guess my future goals are based on my past. In my past ( 8 years ago), I was an obese woman at 250+ pounds. I had little muscle and ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it. I didn't know the difference between a carb and a protein and didn't care.

When I finally got tired of being sore and achy all of the time, having kids laughing at me (sometimes openly), and having people congratulating me because they thought I was pregnant, I started Weight Watcher's and dropped 100 pounds. While the weight loss was great, I also lost a lot of muscle along with the fat. I ended up looking thin and frail… not the look I was hoping for!

I fought to keep the weight off for about a year, and then accidentally met a body building trainer. He got some muscle mass on me and straightened out my metabolism. I entered my first bodybuilding show only months later. I was just barely in the middleweight class (at the top end). There was 15 girls in that class… I didn't place, but what a rush!!!! I competed for the next two years in the heavyweight class, again, without placing.

I am a "muscle girl", meaning that for me, muscle comes pretty easily. What is very hard for me to achieve is leanness. So, I have always come in muscular, but with too much body fat and water to be a contender. My goal is to change that.

While my first trainer inspired me to compete, and likely saved me from a fate of re-gaining my fat, I found that his interests changed and that his bodybuilding clients were seemingly taking a backseat to some of his other sports clients. I made the tough choice to find a new trainer only a few months ago. So, we'll see where that leads me.

TRAINING

I currently do HIIT cardio twice per week, and do a 4 day split weight training plan, based on periodization.

MEAL PLAN

My meal plan consists of 6 meals per day, with breakfast being the largest meal at 7 am, and my bedtime protein and almonds being the smallest at about 9:30 pm. I avoid processed foods, and get most of my nutrition from chicken breast, egg whites, cottage cheese, rice, oatmeal and veggies. I have one fruit serving per day (post work out with protein), and try to keep my protein shakes limited to 2 per day.

I carb cycle, that is 3 days of low carbs, one day of high carbs and also taper my carbs daily. I don't eat any starchy carbs after about 4 pm.

For supplements, I take a high quality multi vitamin/mineral and phytonutrient blend by Nutrilite. Additionally, I take fish oil, extra calcium and magnesioum, extra Vitamin D and extra Vitamin C. Currently, I am using Extreme Lean as a fat burner.

Pre and post workout, I take BCAA's and take L-Glutamine post workout.

While I have used anabolics such as Anavar, Winstrol and Equipoise in the past, I am not currently on any "gear", or creatine.

Guess that's all, folks!! I'll try to upload some pictures of my before and afters….

:wavey:

Fab, just fab. :)

I had trouble getting lean enough this year as well, and I weigh a TONNE for my height 160 cm/5' 4" at 140 lbs in my avvie.

I am in a mass building phase again, however it would be great to have another heavyweight to work with to get lean.
