Before Pic

My goal now is to gain size. All along I have been trying to lose weight - and now I want to gain. I am posting a before pic taken 2 weeks ago. As of last Monday, I have cut down on cardio and changed my workouts to where I am lifting real heavy, less reps - and eating a lot more meat/ protein. Hopefully, I will notice an increase in bulk with these changes.

So, to keep track of my progress, here is a before pic.
 
Jlo, Please keep us updated on your progress. We are with you all the way!!! Remember eat eat eat and replenish those muscles with protein (shake) and glutamine as soon as you finish your workouts. Lots of protein and good clean carbs for energy!!!

Hey girlie, you have a great base to build upon. I'm sure you've already posted this info, but what are your stats and are you doing this with or without juice? I also want to gain size, but I have a P.T. test in a month so unfortunately for me I have to do cardio atleast 3 times a week. I'll just have to compensate for that by increasing my caloric intake. Post your workout split too if you dont mind. Go hard!

Yeah JLO, keep us posted on your progress!! :) I would post a before pic, but it would be horrible... I will wait and post before and after so everyone can see the dramatic changes. Your before pic looks great:p
 
I was hesitant about posting this pic of me in my panties - but, what the hell! Might as well get the full effect of my BEFORE pic's.....

Anyway, I am doing this without juice. I haven't done that before and want to see how far I can get without it first. Once I hit a plateau, I may look into that to get me a step further.

I am 5'5 138lbs. Last I had my body fat tested with a caliper it was 15% - but I am not sure how accurate those things are......

I'm jealous, I'm 5'7 130 and I just cant put on 10lbs, 138 looks so nice on you. How much weight do you want to gain? What areas do you consider your weak/strong spots. I'm also going about this naturally at the time, it's just that being in the Army and going to school makes it so hard to eat/train right. But you are definetly motivating me. Take care

I want to just gain muscle in 5 pound incriments and just take it from there. I am also still trying to loose a little off the thighs and hip area....but from reading this board, its hard to gain muscle and do crap loads of cardio in addition to dieting....

So, now, I am going to try to put on good weight. My weak areas are my glutes and hams. My stomachis also weak considering I got up to 210 lbs. with my second daughter! I may never be able to see my bottom lower abs...:(

I just turned 26 in August, but I feel like I am in the best shape I have been in in years....I hope to take it to the limit this time. Another weak area of mine is my diet. At least once a week, I binge....that needs to stop.
 
You have such a great start! Those aren't 'before' photos, they're already 'after's!!!! Good for you, making all that progress. Now I think I remember you telling some of your history on one of spatt's threads, who also battled her weight down after having a child. Woohoo! The women on this board really motivate me :)
 
Hi JLo! You go girl! So he actually let you post those pics huh? You must be working some "magic" hehe. Anyway, good luck with your goals and keep us updated. It'll be interesting to see how you progress especially since our stats are almost identical. You do have a larger frame than me though so you'll probably be able to get bigger than me and look great! Good luck! :)
 
Yeah, you're right - they are also "after" pics. What I would have done to have REAL before pics when I started at a 185lbs. size 16 ! I had no idea how pictures could show so much.

These are my before pics now, only because I have been at this level for some time now. Now, I want to take it further - hopefully - and I know that if I don't take pics now, I will regret it later.....

I hope to see major changes in a few weeks. I never took before pics or measured my body parts until I met my boyfriend....he does it all the time, so I got interested and now I am a bit hooked!

You are at an excellent place right now! Killer triceps and tie-ins at 15%!. You didn't post a back shot, but I might recommend building up a nice wide lat & upper back and when you start gettign tight, to whittle down your waist. Your legs have great shape. You should have no problem getting to the striations, etc. I dont' know how easily you build your legs, but it looks like they mass easily (I'm guessing) so make sure your lower body doesn't overpower your uppper body. (The wide back and strong shoulders will help give you that X shape!)

Can hardly wait for the next updates! And please keep that idea in mind that its possible w/o AS. I was very happy w/ my results from 2 natural contests even though I didnt' cut as far as I really should've - it shows what you can do with hard work and genetics. Once you've achieved that, then go after the enhancers!

I still can't get over the tie-ins --- EXCELLENT!
 
Sassy - what are tie-ins???

I took a back double bi pic this weekend. It is on my computer at home so I will post it tonight so you can see. I like others' opinions....thanks!
 
Nice work you really look great...not the average mommy for sure! I have 3 small ones so I understand there. Keep working those lower abs and they'll come along just fine.
 
I only have a minute.....you look greeat overall....I think If you build your upper body more (big round shoulders!!) then you will look perfect!!!
 
Me again...Sorry, I didnt have time to read everyones post before I posted that...I agree 100 percent w/Sassy...You have a great base..Legs look awesome and yes - tie ins are beautiful....abs are showing - that in itself is a major accomplishment after kids!!!
as I said before - I would concentrate more on your upper body...you should have NO problems.....

You look awesome...cant wait to see the afters!!!

girl you look really, really good.....when you walk into a room...theres no doubt on anyones mind what your hobby is...that's for sure!!!! incredibly beautiful bod...very impressive...keep up the good work!!!!
 
Wow! It's hard to believe you were ever 210! Your legs have really nice definition. Very few women ever achieve that even if they've never had children.
 
Thanks for all the words of encouragement! Makes me feel good coming from women who know about fitness. I will be posting a back pic this afternoon for you to get a better idea of my upper body. I really appreciate all the advice about building my upper body. I did back, bi's, and abs last night and really went as heavy as I could with about 8 reps per set. I can tell a difference afterwards.....the pump is SO cool lookin' !! I will be SO happy when I get that bicep vein to poke out 24/7 !! :cool: :cool: :cool:
 
I just wish my "after" pics were as good as your "befores"!

I cannot believe u ever were in a size 16! You should be so proud of yourself! Awesome legs! Great job!
 
do you compete or have you ever considered competing? I think you can do it...most definitely

No, I don't compete. I have entertained the thought from time to time, but I just don't think that I would do any good at that....

I would love to if my body was anywhere NEAR the girls bod on the other thread (Daeo) !!

I am just going to see where I come out this time around and if I notice potential, I may look into local shows.....

I just have weak spots.....my glutes and hams would have lots of catching up to do with the rest of me!

Me too!!!!!!!!You look really great...........however, you look leaner than 15%........more like 11-12%.............nice progress.........glad to see that you are waiting to try any drugs.
 
Yup, you're looking great there J... post those before before pics and be proud of what you've accomplished thus far!!!
