why is it that i never see beans on anybodys diet? all i see is chicken,eggwhites,turkey,lean beef,fish...so why not beans isnt that a good protein source...just wondering.

I think the problem with beans is they make us all fart. And seeing how we are all loading up on protein, and eating lots of eggs, we are already farting and don't need anymore fire power. That's why I steer away from beans. They're also a great source of fiber that can help lower BP and cholesterol.
1 can red beans
1 can black beans
1 can chillies
1 can low sodium stewed tomatoes
1 onion
1 - 2 lbs lean ground beef
1 package false or 2 alarm chilli kit
I prefer the chilli kit as the salt can be omitted.

Beans make us fart because they do not digest easily always. they will sit in your gut and the bacteria in your gut start attacking it so to speak causing gas. There are better sources of carbs and protiens in other foods. beans are ok every once in a while. i would not make them a staple in your diet.
