Barilla Plus: Bodybuilder's Friend or Foe?

Kabeetz

Banned
So I was in the supermarket, strolling down the pasta aisle for no good reason and I came across Barilla Plus Penne. As most would agree, pasta is not a great bodybuilding food for a lot of the same reasons as white rice (highly glycemic, little nutritional value, etc)

A lot of people have substituted whole wheat pasta but found it bland and somewhat boring... I found this and am really excited about it's potential spot in my diet. It doesn't have particularly good taste, like most wheat pastas, but it's nutrional profile potentially makes up for it. What do you guys think?

Wow, sounds like pretty good stuff. I think I'd spotted it at the store the other day too; but was in a rush to get the few things I needed and get the heck outta that place. Needless to say, I didn't stop to look at the nutritional value, thanks for the info on it!

Two thumbs up!

Just watch your serving size. 2 oz = 1 serving. 200 calories.

The box says 100grams (approx 4 oz) gives you 17g protein/7grams fiber/360mg ALA Omega-3. 400 calories.
