I got suckered into a 3 year contract at Bally's and now i wanna go to Gold's. Anyone know how to get out of it? Should I go to my doctor and fake a back injury or what?

had to do the same thing. find a friend that lives in a state that has NO bally's. This is a must because there stupid ass contract states if you live within something like 30 miles of a Ballys you can not cancel your contract. i know new mexico works that what i used. know you will have to find a very good friend because you will have to give ballys a change of address and then have your friend put one of his bills in your name for a couple months. ballys will want a copy of this bill once they get it and process the info your good to go. Also be careful and watch your caller id and change your answer machine message. I have done this three times and they finally started to get smart. But they were not smart enough. They also had a big lawsuit about there contracts and how there employees were telling everyone you could cancel at any time. Oh yeah there is a $50 cancel fee but it beats paying for anohter couple years.

Fuck them. I did move and they still fucked me. I moved to WY for school and they claimed i still had to pay. after about 2 hours on the phone with some polesmoker they told me i was good. a year later a collection agent calls my parents house and starts buting their balls about the money. so be careful with them bro.

My buddy works in the pro shop at bally's and they still fucked him. Well fuck them. Ballys is a scam. They sell memberships and that's it! They are like a used car dealership with bad sales tactics

I got scammed on a similar cotract when I was just out of high school. Joined a gym for $19 a month, got the hard sell and they swore up and down I could cancel at any time. And I could cancel at any time, as long as I moved over 50 miles away!!!!!! I tried to resolve it but they just wouldn't cancel me. I told them to go fuck themselves.

Several months later, I got a call from a collection agency wanting payment. He was a cool guy and I explained everything to him. He told me that what I signed was the equivilent of a BANK LOAN! Basically, they sold me a membership and "loaned" me the money for it. In exchange for paying back the loan, I could continue to go to their club. I told him that I wasn't going to pay it and he said it would go on my credit report. I was 18 and I didn't give a shit about a credit report. I'm 28 now and have never been affecting by this being on my report. It only stay on a couple of years anyway.
