Bald Heads: Max respect or nil respect?

Hello All,

from using the AAS, many of us have had to go for the Buzz cut. Mentally, how did you first cope with going bald, and seconsly, what has been the big reaction to your big Kojak impression since?

I am one of the few i guess that would have a full head of hair, but shave it, every other day with a mach 3.... Thats why i dont worry bout going bald, it would just be less to shave.. been shaveing for about 13 years now..so i forget what hair is like.. but save a lot of $ on shampoo
 
My sister tells me I'm thinning on top every year when she crops my hair. She's been saying it for about ten years now, though, so I've almost stopped listening.
 
i've been buzzing my head with trimmers (no guard) for about 4 years now. geneticly, i have a pretty high hair line and i got really tired of people making comments about me going bald when it wasn't the case. now i can't wait for the hair to fall out so i don't have to work as hard keeping it up! haha. i honestly don't think i'll ever go back to a head full of hair. i've gotten super spoiled to just getting up and going. not having to worry about bed head or greasy hair or anything like that.
 
I started losing mine way before roids. Mach 3 turbo to the dome every 3 days for the past 4 years.

In my case it didn't matter if I was comfortable with it cause mother nature made the choice for me. But, I hated my hair anyway so I'm better off.
 
I have a full head of hair buit its gray,not bad if youre going on 50 but Im only 24 some its cropped to the scalp year round
people say I look scary ;)

Being just a "few" hairs short of a full head i gotta say.........that is just wrong man..just wrong.....
 
Still have a full head of hair to be honest I started growing hair on my back and traps from A.s but at times it felt kinda thin on top

dude i went thru the same b shit , started losing it , my big concern was what will happen with the womens, so i shaved my head and i swear i can get more pussy w/ a shaved head than when i had a full head of hair , women love it

Just asking because you spell kowboy with a k and so does the other kowboy.
 
bald is beautiful. and it lets my freak flag fly with great aplomb.

That having been said, what you get from others is what you elicit from them, and your state of follicular fortitude hasnt a damn thing to do with that.

Who you are is how you carry, not how you comb or not.
 
I'm 30 now and I started going bald when I was about 22 which was before steroids. I figured that if a couple of them were going to go, all of them were going to go. I've been shaving it ever since. It sucks because the rest of the hair on my head grows so fast that I have to shave every day. Twice a day if I plan on going out that evening.
I've never had problem with the ladies, but it definitely seems to have gotten even easier with the shaved head. It's either that or the 60lbs of muscle that I've put on since starting gear......either way, I'm not complaining.

Bro...me too...genetically speaking i wasnt blessed upstairs with a full set of hair..i think i started thining as a senior in high school. I can still remember a girl telling me "hey i can see your scalp"...needless to say i was in denial for some years, and it thinned and thinned...you dont even want to see pics of my hair in those days...lol...anyway i started shaving my head around age 21-22...I think it helped that everyone said i looked WAY better...so that boosted the confidence....I started using gear after that..but like apexx i have to shave at least 2 if im going out that night...
 
I have a full head of hair if i want it but i have been shaving it off for over 10 year's now,every few years i'll let it grow just for the hell of it but i prefer to keep it shaved.
 
the only negative comment i have received after "going topless" came from my mother, naturally....any deviation from my high school graduation photograph upsets her.

parents notwithstanding; my social life has improved after shaving my head, adding the stache and goat and lifting. i receive far more compliments on my blue eyes and eyebrow shape now than before loosing the scalp hair. thugs and thug wannabees move out of the way when i walk down the street.

I'd say neither have anything to do with respect. In terms of looks, some people appear better with baldies then others. Some people's head shape and contour have a baldie leaving them looking quite alienish.....others get it off better then having a fabio-esque head of locks.
 
Been shaving my head every 1 or 2 days for about 5 years.
The best thing I've ever done. I love it... girls also love it.

You get so used to it than by now I'm convinced having hair is not higienic. I wouldn't let my hair grow again by any mean...
 
must be nice when a bird shits on your head you can just wipe 'er down with some windex don't have to shampoo or any of that BS

Been shaving mine for about 3 yrs. Any of you guys have a head razor? It has a loop that fits on your finger...when you shave it's just like running your hand over your scalp...I got mine at Walgreens...
 
I have been buzzing mine with a number 0 (no guard) for about 4 years I just shaved it with my fusion razor 1 week ago, I love it, my wife hates it, she says I look mean as hell, muscles tats, bald head....WTF? Never judge a book by it's cover!
 
When i lost a little hair, I was obsessed for a time too. I found using polysorb80 shampoo and a little minoxidil satisfies my obsessive nature and seems to have stopped any appreciable loss (which wasn't too bad to begin with). Funny thing is, I like the shaved look too. I notice that I still get enough attention from girls and much more respect from guys when I have my head shaved. And, for the irony of it all, I find it easier to apply my hair treatment when I'm shaven! lol. Truth is, we are all going to get older, lose some hair, why not look a little like a bad ass while your at it. When I'm 45-55, I'd rather be bald with big muscles than have a nice head of grey thinning hair and be pretty much out of shape like my dad- no offence dad!

u save money? id say a month's worth of mach3's covers about a year of shampoo. :P


I used to clipper mine super short, but let it grow back. Im happy to still have it all upstairs at 31. :fro:

I even used to ROCK a mullet. if ur real nice Ill even post a pic of it. oh ya! :garza: lol.
 
head of hair is thick as can be. my grandpa is 85 with not a bit of receding hair, on my mom's side. i run proviron winny never have any trouble. i'm blessed. i have to keep my hair long sometimes for shows so they can cut it, but when i don't i shave it with a number 3. i hate dealing with it and i think the clean look is what chicks like, don't get me wrong i have hair and i like it no offense, but i certainly keep barely any up there so if it goes i won't be missing much

Some dudes look badass with the shaved head, some don't. Most of the guys on here are prob pretty big, so you look fine. Stop worrying

I do not like the fact that I am going to bald eventually and I do what I can to slow it down. Maybe I am in denial, but I think that a biotech co will eventually come up with a genetically engineered solution. Some guys (ex: Vic Mackey) do look good shaved. I am not one of them. Some women do not like bald guys some do. It is just a matter of preference not a hard a fast rule about all women.
