I have a 98 328i with over 100k miles with not a single problem with the exception of a horrible dealer service experience which I've wisened up about a few things.

I truly LOVE my car.

test drove the audi tt before buying my slk and let me say audis are quick but don't handle as well as a bmw to me and are also very blocky to drive. go bmw

Both are nice cars. IMHO I would go with the audi but only because every wanna be motherfucker in my town has a 323.
But I've driven a 323 before and if you want performance it's not bad. Never driven an audi.
