how has sprinting effected your lifting? primarily squats?

did it hinder you at all?

I train westside and i'm considering (again) doing sprints on 2 of my offdays. nothing to long

everything is in check...diet, sleep, ect

If you're close to comp, I wouldn't recommend it. I will do it in place of sled dragging when I'm not getting ready to test. Otherwise, the constant reripping of the fibers can further extend the healing process. Just listen to your body. If your squat goes down and you're more fatigued than usual, lay off. :)

If just training for strength without wanting any extra weight gain I would recommend sprinting, It always keeps my weight down and shreds me up as well. My only suggestion is to do them after squating and not the other way around, so you can still train with heavy weight without any prior fatigue... As spatts said when coming close to a meet then lay off and work on your meet events. When boxing I would do them once every third day and about 10 days out i would cut them out and just work on distassnce intervals.
