two gigs were enough for him...i think he realized that he actually kinda liked it and decided that wasn't necessarily a good thing for an 18 year old with (potentially) a lot of years in society left in front of him, so he bowed out after the 2nd go-round.

yeah...it can be an incredibly bad thing...if the brainwashing is very thorough it leaves you a bit ruined for civilian life too

Agreed.

My grandpa was in Normandy on DDay. He's gone now, but he was totally something else.

He had the best stories ever too.

lead's a vet just like you...however, he still believes that the system can work.

Sure I am and sure I do. I'm a 3rd generation Marine. My paternal grandfather fought in the Pacific during WWII, he was in the 7th Marines. My father fought in Vietnam, he was in the 4th Marines. My brother and I were both in the 9th Marines. We were all in infrantry (0311), is there anything else?? My maternal grandfather was in the army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII.

The system works for people who are ambitious and have the balls to take risks and who are willing to sacrifice. I just talked to two kids who just graduated from college in May. They both graduated May 11, one got a job by May 14th and the other by May 17th. Both of them told me the employers never even asked to see their grades. I think it is because a lot people drop at out school nowadays at an alarming rate and there is nobody qualified to fill those positions. There is something called "structual unemployment," which means there are jobs but the unemployment rate is still high because there are no people qualified to do specific jobs. I worked two jobs for years in order to get where I wanted to be. Now, I'm fucking skating, I don't go back to work until August 27th. Lol, I work 140 days a year and only have to put in 25 hrs a week and never been better off monetarily in my life. That is because I went to college for 8 years and worked two jobs for 10 years..

Cindy can attest to all this because she has been to my house and seen my stuff. Next time she comes I will see if she will take a picture wearing my "Commendation Medal" I received after my division won the whole show during Desert Storm. I'll see if she will post the picture..

I believe there are some vets on this board and I believe there are some frauds. But I won't deal in personalities because this is the internet. Unless people can have someone actually vouch for their service in real life I deem that individual as a potential fraud. Especially all the one's who claim they were in "Special Forces," and were snipers... We will never know. One can get anything off the internet. Fuck, one can obtain a DD214 to a Military ID off the net. There is nothing sacred anymore...

uhh..this thread isn't about your fuckin uncles that served gutdammit...It's about Cindy and her poor taste in men.

FUCK!

I never said I was good guy and Cindy knew exactly what she was getting herself into. However, after our first meet-up she keeps coming back for more. Your problem is that your whole identity depends on what invisible people think of you. You judge people from their e-persona, I judge people from spending quality time with them in real life. I don't hate anyone on this board. I feel it is absurd to hate people I never met in person. I just take everything at face value. You could actually be a cool dude in the world but you are a dick on the net, see where I am getting at?? Lol, you people think Cindy is this stupid, naive person, lol, you don't know her at all. Cindy does not take anyone's crap in real life.. She will cut your heart out and show it to you.. Simultaneously, Cindy is one of the best human beings I have ever met, she treats me too good. But if you think you know her and me by our e-personas then you are fooling yourself to the utmost son...
