Why is it that some men get attached to women and get hurt, and some do not and do not care about what happens? Why do women like the guys that do not get attached? What should a guy do and not do to keep his girl from leaving him.

I think it all depends on the type of girl you have. MOST girls, especially around my age (18-25) are fucking stupid and can't handle the fact that a guy is totally into them. Maybe they are scared of committment... and most guys are too. I'm 50/50....I won't seriously commit unless the girl chases me for awhile... my gf now had to chase me for a month or 2, which allows me to know she is serious about me - because unlike many girls in my past experience (and things I've witnessed) I have no problem completely committing and not feeling like "I have her by the 'balls'" because she came clean first.

Basically what I'm saying is that I think most girls get bored if you stop the chase (these also tend to the attractive girls) - but the ones you should hold on to would never do that..... so maybe you should be happy if something happened with your gf because now u know she's not the material you are looking for..... that's a suggestion to cope with it even though it may seem harsh right now.

This is a complicated question....I think it depends on the situation...I think that some girls are into the "chase" thing and are done once they get their man (this tends to be younger/control freaks).

As for the ones that fall in love and get hurt, that can happen in any situation if you but your heart into it. Ones that can have a relationship and walk away either did not love this person OR had to block out the pain for a reason/situation.
