Hym...I wonder if AAP lives in a region where the customs of gay men are different. I have never had a guy tell me he was a bottom in a bar. But I have had plenty of guys tell me they are tops and "strictly" tops. You know that's total bullshit.

Unfortunately most gay men look negatively at bottoms. Considering them to be self de-masculinizing for being a receiver in bed. I don't know where this comes from. Probably from the heterosexual community that used to and still does look at women as unequally less of a human being.

This is exactly the type of response you would get from what I would classify as a true top. A true top adores a good bottom. They don't insult him for being so. They don't falsely claim to be a top while making snide remarks that never seem to end.

I don't mean to carry on about this but supposed "tops" in the gay community remind me so much of those straight guys that talk shit about women and refer to them as pussy and just some device to be used and are less of a human for being a female.

If you stick your dick into someone (regardless of sexual orientation) and then look down at that person or talk shit about them for doing so, what does that say about yourself? Maybe you shouldn't be getting any at all and only be allowed to just wank it solo. I agree, there do seem to be way too many bottoms compared to tops. Maybe it's the balance to China's disproportionate balance of too many males to female ratio. Who knows.

Actually, I was a true top up until a couple years ago and decided, after all these years of seeing the expressions of pleasure on the faces of the bottoms that I might be missing out on part of the fun. I like to be versatile these days, and have started with some tops that are in the 5-6" range; Tom Chase has moved into my neck of the woods, but at 11" I think I'll have to do a lot more practicing b4 graduating to that size!
