I had gone on HRT for a short while after stopping some pro-hormones several years ago...all i knew was that i couldn't "get it up" and so went to the doctor. he checked my test and it was found to be low. i didn't mention to him that i had been taking the prohormones so until a few months later it had never occurred to me that it was the pro-hormones that had jacked me up. Anyway, he treated it with test cyp...150mg im every week with arimidex 1mg everyday. we checked my t and my e every other week and found that both numbers were in normal range. also, at that time i joined a hypogonadism bb on yahoo and found that arimidex is usually in the normal course of treatment with hrt. hope this helps.

perhaps...but my e didn't fall as much as i had expected...now...i must admit that my bf% was (and still is) quite high. the importance of this is that most obese men will have a higher conversion of t to e. why this is i am not sure...i am sure that it has to do with some of the new research that adipose tissue becomes like an endogenous gland as it gets larger. my point is that for me it worked fine. this is another reason that it is important to work closely with any doc and get your blood checked regularly.

I have to agree with string bean. 3-500 sounds like a lot for HRT. Likely will be waaaay abouve normal with that amount. If that happens then a doctor is not being "ethical" in his treatment and can get in shit. On the flip side if you get tested on 500mg and you're in the range then Yeeee Haaaa you are good to go.

HRT = hormone REPLACEMENT therapy

300-500mg a week is far above replacement.

This does sound a little high...but not unrealistic. THe trend that I found during my stint with the hypo boys was that most knowledgable physicians don't care about how much drug they have to give you. Now, granted, most of these guys were on a topical as well as injections, but more importantly, their physicians treated them as to how they felt. Even if their total T was above a 1000. If these guys couldn't get an erection and still felt like crap, the docs would up the dose. It was not uncommon for some of these guys to be on weekly injections of 200-300mg of Test Cyp as well as daily androgel or the like.
