Are you Pro-Life or Pro-Choice?

For the love of God do we have to go over this shit again!!??!?! Every two weeks we talk about abortion, and you know what?

Nobody changes their minds!!! Instead it becomes a 10 page arguement!! You guys are wasting your time.

haha, predicted the future

after reading all 500 replies i'm about half asleep now, lol. i'm pro life but at the same time it's not up to me to decide. if i ever got a girl pregnant i'd try to talk her into keeping it if she did'nt want it. i'd take it myself and raise it. but there is a great way to prevent all that, wait til you are married. we are'nt going to stop all the abortions but when a woman has one after another that's just freakin rediculous and something needs to be done, tie her tubes or something. same with a man, if he get 5 girls pregnant time to sterilize him.

to sum it up, i hate the idea of abortion, i know many pro-choicers who do, but i can't tell a woman what to do with her body so noone else should either. my beef is this, don't make abortions free. if she want's one then she pays for it. no inusrance companies or tax payers money should ever go into paying for it. use that money to educate people on the consequences of having sex. i won't go into all that but you get the point. don't make me pay for something i am totally against. period.

Surely you can see the irony in your post. Or, more in spentagn fashion: Shirley, you can see the irony in your post.

I sure won't probably agree with him, but how can you not like this guy. I can get past the whole far right thing, he's funny as hell!

How about we hit the Truth and thump the Bible a little over it all?

"Surely I was sinful at birth; sinful from the time my mother conceived me." (Psalm 51:5)

His life began existing right after conception.

Another to ponder:

"Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?" (Job 31:15)

I don't care what the law says, that doesn't matter to me. Pass pro-choice or pro-life, whatever. What bothers me is killing a human life, because it bothers God.

At the end of the day or at the end of your life, do you really want to have to answer to God about killing a human life?

If you've had an abortion, and you get hit with these verses you will either get really angry or sad about them or push them as far away as possible. I went through all 3 years ago until I faced up to the Truth. Thankfully we can be forgiven for our sins through Jesus Christ.

Then the horror of what was done is fully realized.

Sorta like when a death row murderer gets his last meal and has to face up to his own expiration on earth.

If you don't favor abortion, don't have one.

(trying to catch up after being away from the debate for a while)

Okay musclebrains, let me ask you this: should abortion be tax-funded for those who "can't afford" it? If you support this, then you would have those who don't favor abortion or consider it murder to help pay for it.

So although I am pro-life I realize that abortion is legal in this country. But why is the govt paying for it in many cases? I have a real problem with this.

I know you didn't ask ME, but anyway...

your tax dollars will pay for the negative social aftermath of unwanted children, regardless.

I'm glad you answered! Okay, isn't that a glass-half-empty approach? A human life has great potential, and there are many parents willing to adopt. I will gladly pay for foster homes and adoption agencies.

ant time this debate comes up on here, I always feel it my civic duty to give a link to perhaps on of the best point-counterpoint discussions over this matter that I've ever seen:

Point/Counterpoint

Thanks. That was great. Sometimes I look forward to being 40, too. No more questions about the kids I don't have, husband I don't want, and hopefully the world will catch up with my wisdom by then :)

At least you stick to your principles! <thinking of the pro-lifers that kill doctors and bomb hospitals>

I don't favor capital punishment and I don't favor incarcerating people for drug purchase, use or sales. I don't really benefit from public education, since I don't have children. I don't favor the absurdly disproportionate budgeting for the U.S. military and I sure as hell don't favor the proposed missle program. I don't favor military operations against Iraq, which to my mind amount to murder.

We all contribute tax dollars to things we don't "approve of," including things that violate our personal morals. We live in a representative democracy. We do not govern by referendum and, in any case, the majority of Americans would almost certainly favor women's continued access to abortions.

More welfare, more government subsidies. Yeah, people are gonna love that. I can see the rants now about welfare babies. The whole debate about mandatory sterilization will come back. Remember that one?

I'm Pro-Hater! I hate Pro-lifers and Pro-choicers! So quite your bitching! If you don't like it you can Jello Wrestle my Sperm Babies!
