Are any of you ladies going to the Olympia?

I'm going. Alone so far. I've never been to a competition, so thought I'd splurge and hit the big one. I've talked to several men who are going, but was hoping there are women going, as well.

My own comment - I hope they improve the presentation this time. Last year was a joke. The Expo is def a freak show - but that's what makes it so much fuN!

I posted in the SD forum a few weeks ago asking about the show. the guys told me that the orleans arena is really sucky as far as viewing the competitors goes. in order to actually see anything, you have to spring for the good seats, which are about $200.

...and they told me the expo was where it's at. only $10. go figure. I'll be staying at the Orleans, so if you ladies want to pile into my room, the door is open. I'm not a stalker. I swear.

The Orleans was a new venue last year, and they also moved the Expo to the Vegas Convention Center -- my company had a booth there last yr and it was cluster fuck to say the least -- whoever put together the whole event really dropped the ball last yr. I HOPE they get that shit organized better this yr. But at the end of the day, the shows are not that exciting - I think anyway. The Expo is where everyone comes together to just see & be seen. The Arnold is definitely the bigger of the two shows, but the Olympia is the more hardcore - and its in Vegas. Face it - if you are looking for excitement in Columbus, OH in early March, don't bother....

I live maybe 8 hours or less from Vegas, but haven't been for a while. I'm way overdue for some excitement.

You can buy the expo tickets right at the entrance. That is by far the best of the whole thing. Seriously - those guys are so big --- to be honest -- I'd put money on the fact that Ronnie will win again. He's next goal is to beat the standing record for number of Mr O titles - he's tied the one guy (can't think of it right now) at 8 wins and is also looking to go 10 in a row. Politics sort of determine this stuff before it even happens. Same for the womens. (Sorry... )

If things happen the way I want, I'll be living in CA and Vegas is a cheap flight over.....

and that's part of the reason i want to go - although it there would be a huge buzz if Jay Cutler took it.

glad to know I can buy the expo tickets there. i was going to buy them now on the Orleans ticket website, but they charge an extra 3 dollars per ticket. ??? that's dumb.
