Yea..its healthiest homeade as you can keep the sodium and fat levels more under control..but I still eat the Jack Links stuff all the time (peppered flavor)

I have a dehydrator, but you can also make it in the oven. I have like 8 or 9 different flavor recipes and seasonings..
Poysyn, I must agree, of the commercial stuff nothing beat Jack Links, or Wild Bills.
People don't seem to like me when i'm eating it though... the stench is unavoidable within a 30 foot radius, just from opening the bag up... tastes so good though

A side story...
One day I went to class with about a lb of jerky, to snack on. The smell started to emanate throughout and everyone (about 8 kids) was like WTF is that smell? When they realized what it was and I offered them a little piece.. an hour later, all my jerky was gone! The bastards.

haha...that's great! a pound of beef jerky...wow...i would def be tearing up the terlet if i ate that much beef jerky! sorry for giving too mch info haha
