Admissions process is starting and im scared...... applying to psu. purdue, virginia tech. pitt. university of illinois and drexel. looking to major in electrical engineering then possilby go to med schoool. applying sucks :( im so scared cuz my gpa is only a 3.4 but my sat's are 1400. :/

no shit. what the hell is wrong with a 3.4GPA and 1400 SAT scores? my high school GPA was barely passing or something along those lines because i just didn't give a fuck.

my dad got his Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering at Drexel. he thought it was a good school while he was there.

i know a few people that have gone to PSU. i've heard it's a "meat market" where they just process you in, you pay, they don't give a fuck afterwards. all about numbers and money, other than that, who gives a shit about the students.

with GPA and SATs like you've got, you'll have no prob going where you want. so chill.

schools are bastards now!

dude, my high school GPA was low, like 2.2 or something low and my SATs were 1060 combined. Bloomsburg accepted me even though their average GPA was quite a bit higher than mine. i also had 1 semester of community college from many years back though, with a 3.0GPA to go along with it. i think that helped.

Drexel is a good school for engineering, I am considering going back to school at Drexel for architecture actually....

you just wanna go back to check out chicks all day.

don't lie, you know it's true.

btw - they look hotter as you get older. trust me on this one.

i mean, not that i'm looking or nothing. my gf would kill me if that were the case. i don't do that shit. no way.

drexel and pitt are my safe schools. schools in order of difficulty to get in are: u of i, penn state, vt, purdue, pitt, drexel .

order of schools that i would want to attend are: penn state, u of i, purdue, vt, pitt, drexel.

ill know about purdue and penn state by october probably. scary!

feck, just typed this whole post and it didn't submit....

Are those schools highly renowned for their engineering programs? I'm subscribed to US News Best Colleges '05 and checked the top engineering programs. The only one to make the list was PSU at #54.

Here's the top engineering schools followed by the top electrical engineering programs. If you want more information on specific schools, such as median SAT/GPA, selectivity rank, etc. let me know and I'll post it up.
