Anyone use GABA??

Does anyone here use the amino acid GABA before bed to help promote HGH release during sleep etc? I got some from bodybuilding .com and man this shit is for real. About 5 minutes after taking it my body gets a little bit warm and a tingly kinda like a niacin feelin which goes away after about ten minutes the I get really tired like if you took a bunch of Nyquil.

Anyone try this, or hear about it? Good...Bad?
 
supposed to be good for anxiety, but it makes me jittery, even though its an inhibitory neurotransmitter....go figure.

didnt notice much diff in sleep on it, it is supposed to relax you though.

DOnt know about it releasing HGH, dont see how.

havent tried mine yet....see the thread entitled "hgh question". Aparently there are those that dont believe hgh comes in a a drinkable powdered form. If it does help you sleep though I'm totally stoked!
 
i read years ago when tryptophan when off the market that gaba was similar as a precurser and could help iduce a deep r.e.m sleep and maybe help with hgh secretion by the body. I tried twin labs gaba with little sucess I do however think meletionin worked well for me the times ive used it. Once i took 6mg hit the bed and woke up in the exact same position so I know I was so deep into sleep i never tossed or turned.So I guess its not the chemicals or aminos making any hgh but helping you get into such a deep sleep your body releases it on it's own.
 
The amino acid itself doesn't increase hgh release, but it promotes a deeper, rem sleep which is the stage where the body naturally releases more hgh.

I don't take it for the gh release but rather the great sleep I get while using it. I don't toss and turn, and when I wake up in the morning I feel like I could sleep for another 2 hours, and thats after 8 hours sleep. Not bad for a natural supp.

I'm taking a dose tonight for the first time, so I'll let you know, I'll be frigging thrilled if I just get solid, restful sleep, anything else is icing!
