Anyone like to work out to heavy metal? What band?

http://www.galleryofsound.com/pages/features.asp?StoryID=230

theres a link for ya Blood&Iron

i figure you would like it due to your rollins quote

I remember when i first saw streetfighter (the charles bronson movie...not the other one.) i though charles was huge and cut as fuck......now when i watch it i realise his arms must measure 14 inchs

Core: micheal jackson is not a band. he/it/whatever he is.....is a performer

Interesting link endpoint. Thanks. He's an old school lifter. Actually I'm not really a fan of Rollins. Neither his music nor the man. His "I don't give a fuck" attitude has always seemed to me as being calculated and he's made, in my opinion, some fairly moronic statements. But he seems to be a fairly intelligent guy and I loved the piece from which I took the quote.

hahaha cool.

i dont acctually like him much either for the reason that you listed...the whole contrived anger crap.

one record i have....its a live one and hes going......."i wanna kill (groan groan) ...i wanna kill.......(groan) i wanna kill a muthafucking pig"

how dumb is that?

i like black flag though........
and some spoken word.

never the less, the article is cool to read......and see how weak he is. it must be all that constant touring......

anyway im going over to the other post where i waged war against you on machines.....to see if you have replied.

on Rollins. yeah I like all Black Flag stuff, and a lot of Rollins bands stuff, and some of his spoken word. but he really takes his self waaay to seriously sometimes... like some of the things he said in 'get in the van', he'll be talking about something really cool then he'll pull off some philosophical BS, that totally ruins it. but all in all, rollins is a cool guy.

Glenn, he doesnt lift anymore I don't believe. He has put on some fat, not too much, but some yeah. but he is what, 46 years old, what do you expect.

danzig 6, i thought it was an awesome album. very brutal. doesnt sound much like the earlier stuff, no more stripped down metal, this ones extremely layered and heavy.

Although I always have someone to go with, and I think its rude to have headphones when you have a friend with you. I like:

Dillinger Escape Plan
Vision of Disorder (Imprint) - my favorite cd
Dog Fashion Disco
Tool
Converge
Codeseven
Planes Mistaken for Stars
Chimaira

Those are just the ones I've been into lately.
Oh and can't forget MM's AntiChrist Superstar

AC/DC, Metallica, Creed's 1st album are probably the best to listen to if you are looking for a straight CD to lift to.

I prefer to make mixes. "Blind" - Korn and "Walk" - Pantera definitely go on lifting metal mixes.

You can lift to rap also, most people just dont think so because they're rap intake is limited to the radio & MTV, which doesnt play much rap that you'd probably like to lift to. Here are some good ones:
"Natural Born Killaz" - Dr. Dre & Ice Cube
"Cop Killer" - Ice T/Body Count
"Bia Bia" - Lil Jon & The Eastside Boys

If you need more suggestions, just PM me.
