Anyone have experience with ac joint separation?

I'm going this week to the doctor to check out my shoulder. Tho about 100% sure I have an ac joint separation. Not sure how I did it but I can't hardly do any upper body any more. Anyone had this before. How did u rehab it and what might be beneficial. Tb500 of course would seem good. I will add its either a class 1 or 2 separation. Not a horrible 3. Most likely a bad 1 light 2

Ive had that before. Was a long time ago. Mostly rested it and avoided stuff that aggravated it. Then slowly went back to things.

Toughen up buttercup. An ac separation isn't a big deal at all. Happens all the time to me. Rest and do rehab. Warm your shoulders up good before working out.

Ok tough guy... Didn't say it was a big deal but hey do what works for u. Have fun later in life when the joint starts to wear down. As for me imma stick to letting it heal best as I can. Currently can't even use the arm to drive.

Does it get to the point where you feel pain down to your fingertips? do you find it hard to move your arm or fingers when the pain sets in?

Had this a few years ago. I forget the grade of separation I had but I was in a sling for a little while. No rehab needed just rest and slowly get back into things. To this day I actually have a weird bump right at the spot where this happened. Good luck, rest and go slow

No it doesn't radiate down my arm at all it directly on that spot. Gone to a 4 days a week leg work for the past month and no upper body but the pain hasn't changed at all. And still swollen as all get out.

Feel for ya, that sucks. Good luck with it

Hey man no offense. I was just saying this happened to me and everyone I was surrounded around. Separating your shoulder happens if you go hard. Let it heal for a week or two so you can move it then do some rehab with bands and strengthen your shoulders up more. Expect it to happen again. Anyone who played contact sports knows what I mean.
