Is it just me or don't most of us become attracted to someone 'after' we carry on a conversation with them? The way a person looks may draw you in, but unless your in a bar and looking for a 'night', seriously - the feeling will fade then disappear if there's no chemistry after the conversation begins.

If there is no connection felt, I think most of us would just move on...

I'll admit I have met people with 'standards' - but they differ on everyone's part. Some may live in Alaska, where men are 4-1 to women. Standards might just change at that point.

Standards too high = Lonely person?

Yes and no. I think some people have an expectation that they'll meet someone perfect and nobody's perfect.

At the same time I think standards can't be too high (outside of expecting perfection).
