Anyone ever snowshoe??

I can buy a pair of snowshoes for $100 + shipping....wonder if it's worth the investment??

We spent a day doing it when I went to Colorado a couple years back... its quite a workout (which I enjoyed) but left several other members of my family whinin bout there sore legs I would compare it to hiking I suppose... but in the snow of course

My grandpa had a pair of the old time kind that look like tennis racquets. That's about as close to that as I've come.

... I moved south so I woudlnt' have to climb thru snow - out of need or recreation
