Anyone ever got a phone call from the P.O?

Im expecting a package and saturday got a phone call from the post office. I wasnt home....caller id. Can any of you speak from experiences like this??
 
sounds lke trouble. Call back try and find out what they want. if they want you to come get the package tell them you are not expecting one that it must be a mistake.
 
Since it is supposed to go to certain address would it matter rather or not if my friend picks it up(it was going to a friends house). If they wanted to bust you why wouldnt they regardless?? Its got his name on it and address?? Seems like it doesnt take a signature to prove him guilty..right??
 
maybe i am wrong but, usually they just send you a letter if your parcel is to big for the PO box.my suggestion is to call the P/office & ask them.no names of course.

Why would they call YOU if your friends name was on the package and his address? It probably had nothing to do with your package bro...

yeah exactly.....UPS calls me all the goddamn time.....i was never home and saw it on caller ID constantly, so i found out who was answering the calls and they said the UPS lady just wanted to make sure the delivery i had scheduled a pickup for was satisfactory. and me figuring it was for trying to bust me sending illegal shit, or calling back on a job inquiry i made with them once. :) so its prolly nothing......but then again you don't hear of the PO calling people often.........
 
Where i'm at, the USPS usually leaves a slip if the package cant be delivered due to size/signature. Then i have to go to the nearest Post Office and pick it up with a photo id that matches :D
Never heard the USPS calling for a package pickup.
 
Come to find out that the package(express) got to the post office after the mailman left to make his deliveries. They called to see if he wanted to come pick it up. It was delivered monday morning with no problems....all is good...really good now!!
 
i would set up a po box in another town...

lol if the town is that small the guy who arrested him is probably his uncle who is also the general store owner who is also the judge... :p
