I think bombs are abused in some forums. Namely, the chat and conversation forum. People bomb each other for the stupidest reasons. Nonetheless, I think they are rather useful in this forum. They allow us to quickly get rid of steroid spammers and idiots who make posts not even remotely connected to the purpose of this forum.

Sometimes people get mad at each other and bomb each other. Who cares? I mean, sure, they both lose some karma, but other than that, nothing serious happens.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but internet bombs won't hurt me. It's sort of like mailbox bashing or throwing rolls of toilet paper in someones front yard, I think it mostly appeals to youngsters. I try to be respectful when I'm on the net, differences should be settled in person, not by arguing like a bunch of girls from the safety of your computer.
