i just did one them.. carried 42 pounds
just wondering i felt a bit of pain in my feet.. is that normal?
also my neck/shoulders felt stiff

i'm not exactly sure what those are but today i tried to make a sled. i took a thick bag for corn and put some small rope on it and put a handle on the rope. i put a plate inside the bag and dragged it around. WAY too light and the bag ripped after about 5 mins.

sled prototype A = failed

how long was your hump? if I ever do these again, I would have some comfortable hiking boots/shoes, and a comfortable backpack that wouldn't give me any strain after humping a couple miles. humping sucks. what kind of bag are you humping with? footwear?

You should buy 2 tiny rugsacks, 1 in front one on the back, this keep your posture balanced and reduces strain and stiffness.

If you want to have real fun go to the mall all packed up and climb the roller stairs for 1 hour in a steady pace. That will bring out the quads. Oh yeh to avoid curious customers question wear a sign: Shut Up I am Training!;)

How far did you go and why the hell did you do it in the first place? Basically, what are your goals? Are you training to be better at ruck marching or are you trying to get bigger thighs? All the rucking I've done recently hasn't done anything for the size of my quads.

You could also just tie a rope to a wood palate or a tire. Then just stack weights on top.

Aw, c'mon Champ, you know you miss those fun all-day mountain humps with that comfy ruck and the wonderful footwear issued. Not to mention the fine meal you get to enjoy at the apex of your leisurely ascent.:)
