Anyone do any hunting?

Anyone here done much hunting? Anything, deer, turkey, waterfowl?

I used to hunt quail and coyote. Never got drawn for dear, tried bowhunting them but its too tough. My feelings on hunting have since changed and I dont enjoy killing wildlife anymore.

I doubt that many hunters enjoy the actual killing part of it, there are many other aspects to be considered.

I love the hunt and especially the shooting. I hate to cut their throat and bleed them out. Gutting is no fun and neither is hauling out 80 pound quarters in difficult terrain at 12,000'.

Having a freezer full of extremely high quality meat is nice though. May try to restock this year.

You can still stalk them and take a picture. They make these cool cameras on rifle stocks that have crosshairs in the lens, all the thrill is there and you both come away alive and happy. I dont even fish, I feel bad for the bait even haha.

I could see taking something with a significant amount of meat if I was going to eat it.

A lot of people fail to understand that fishing is simply hunting.....for fish.

I elk hunt with bow twice a year. I hunt about all big game that my girlfriend allows. We have several ranches and leases ni Oklahoma and Texas. He go on whitetail hunts in Alberta every year.

Got this one with a bow opening day. That evening with waiting for a doe I saw 4 bucks that would have scored upwards in the 160's..

This one was taken with a long bow in on our ranch is Texas.
