They got good players though. Your assessment is pretty inaccurate if you really follow soccer. Pirlo is one of the best two way midfielders in the world. he's that good. If it wasn't for Kaka he'd by far be the best player on AC milan. he's on that level
Gattuso is ok...and zambrotta is a solid defender and Materazzi, although old, is still one of the defenders in the world.
