any bro's ever get hair replacements

I know several bro's on here will scoff at this question and a selected few will have sympathy.
My hair is continuing to thin, especially towards the front. I am taking spiro and haven't been on a cycle for 3 months. I have came to the conclusion that it is inevitable that I will eventually go bald (it sucks because I am only 23). So I have began entertaining the idea of hair replacement (follicular implants). Any of you bro's ever get this procedure done? Were you satisfied with the results? How much was the procdure.

Wait, spiro did not stop the problem at all?

The answer to your question is that they can look great, to the point of not being able to tell even with a looking glass. It's really worth it IF you can afford it.

Spiro has slowed down the process. But I want to begin using the potent AS's again, which will accelerate the hairloss.
Thanks for the reply.

BTW, are talking 2,000-5,000 or more?

depending on how many grafts you want is what your cost will be. I believe they are around $15-20 per graft. So 1000 grafts containing between 1-5 hairs will cost about 2-3k in all fairness.

BTW: It's an option i am considering as well. But not yet.

My friend got it done....His wasn't really bald, just real thin and a bad receding hairline...If i didn't know him before i honestly would of never known he had it done!

He ended up spending $1,500 and change...

listen up!
dont do it man, a HT can ruin your life!!!!!!
you ever see the strip of skin that they cut out of the back of your head? a lot of risks.. it can speed up your hairloss too! called shock loss. and don't expect your hair to look like it did when you were young. a HT will give the illusion that you have hair, they provide thin coverage, with a receeded hairline. a bad doctor will definetly take your money and ruin your life. you will go more bald and be stuck with the grafts at the top of your head.. then also the scar at the back of your head, there goes the option of shaving your head to look normal.

sorry for the bad news..
here's the good news:

Dr Gho and another doctor's have been "multiplying" hair, basicly they can make 3-4 hair follicles out of 1. that means you can get more coverage on your head than a HT, remember with a hairtransplant you start with a certain amount of hairs but never gain any! if you dont have a lot of hair to begin with, obviously you aren't gonna have more hair after a transplant!
with hairmultiplication you can gain hairs! this is the only thing good so far. yes it has been proven, they are doing clinic studies on real people.. but it is not released to the public yet. expect 1.5-2years on the clock for it to come out.
other big names in the industry are working on cell therapy
this is a billion dollar industry and new things are coming out.. dont get your head chopped by a unethical doctor man.. take care.

another option would be Dr Woods from Australia... he does not leave a "strip scar" as he removes each hair individually with a small small needle, leaving no scar virtually. he is booked untill 2003 however..

all i can say is go and visit this site
http://www.hairsite.com
please if i could reach through your computer screen and strangle you i would.. dont do it!

One thing to think about is if you are genetically going to lose your hair, then when you get the transplant you will continue to have to deal with the fact that its still coming out. So in ten years, what happens, you have transplanted hair in the front and none in the back? That would look totally stupid.

What's the proper name of sprio and is it OTC or get it from a family doctor

Get the topical spiro, which is available at www.minoxidil.com -- you'll need a referral from your doctor to order from the site, though. But get the spiro cream and Xandrox!!

Has anyone stopped this stuff and if so does the growth stay. I know with the propecia it states as soon as you stop it gaurantees one month afterwards you will be back to original thin or baldness. Any comments. I havent done any and am wonder because I have some thining spots on my head with a slight recead
