Anti-E's: Is there an Estrogen rebound upon discontinuing?

When you stop using anti estrogens, does estrogen rebound at a higher level to overcompensate? If so how to deal with?

Only non suicidal aromatase inhibitors, use a suicidal one like aromasin for example after you stop taking letro or armidex

Not with aromasin or AIFM, but it does with letrozole or arimidex. I believe like johnny said, the suicidal inhibitors do not have a rebound effect.

Thanks for the info guys. It just seems that with a lowered Estrogen level, when you come off the anti-E's your body is going to overcompensate by producing more estrogen.

It's not that simple. The non-suicidal AI's bind reversibly to aromatase and then the body makes more aromatase. As you come off the AI, the bound aromatase comes free and then you have a glut of aromatase for a while until the body settles down again.

The suicidal ones render useless any aromatase they bind to. The body goes about making more, as it sees fit, but you don't have that reserve store of enzyme to get flooded into the system.

Letro isn't as bad as arimidex due to having a decent half-life, which effectively makes it self-tapering.

I know when I was using letro at 2.5mg/day and stopped all of a sudden to switch over to adex at 1 mg/day, I gained like 6 lbs of water over a 3 day period, so yes rebound is a problem when discontinuing any anti e. I would ramp down gradually over a 2-3 week period and try that when you want to quit or switch to another one

Thanks guys. Im runnin 1/2 tab aromasin a.m. and 1/2 tab nolva p.m.

I'm worried about going into cruz phase of test(250 wk) coming off anti-E's and having bloat gyno probs during cruz phase. I really dont wanna have to run anti-e's during my cruz phase????

If you're taking exogenous test, some use of an AI is recommended. The body is very likely to need some help when flooded with supra-physiological quantities of hormone.
