Anti-depressants and performance

I have been on 250/day Luvox (basically paxil) for several years now. I've asked two different doctors on two separate occasions if the A-D's had any adverse effects in my performance, but haven't gotten any good yes or no answers. I would quit taking them to find out, but withdrawl lasts for about a month i'm told and the most i've been off of the stuff is a week and I get nasty migranes and get really sick and see spots. I'm thinking too that since it keeps me from ejaculating with-in the first 30 minutes of sex (i gave up on wackin' it a while ago) (luvox kills my sex-drive too)that longterm effects could be decreased production of sperm which might have something to do with my already violently fluctuating blood work (actaul numbers are at home, but they're wacked sometimes... albumin levels have always been all over the place and no one's ever said anything.). Anybody?

thanks,

Rolf

I don't think you will have any adverse effects from the ssri's...although Paxil in particular, can increase appetite. You will be able to train and gain just fine.

At least in my case, I don't care what the ssri's do to my body. Well, I suppose if they made me gain 2 pounds of fat per day or something I'd care...but the mental clarity and sanity I feel from my anti-depressants far outweight the minimal side effects I have (mainly my only side effect is that it takes longer to climax).
