Anti-depressant while on?

Any sides other than higher blood pressure I should be concerned with if I start taking Wellbutrin? Having some anxiety issues and am currently 2 weeks into my cycle.

I take some anti-anxieties clonozepam and citolopram. i've been good while on.

if your having anxiety not depression then i would take anti anxietys, not anti depressants. xanax, valium, colonopan (probly didnt spell that right). those can be dangerous if used as rec drugs to party. but if used properly and responsibly they can really help alot bro.

I take Xanax from time to time, but only as needed. HIGHLY addictive drug so I tend to steer clear. The anxiety is a result of some depression that I have been dealing with for about 5 months now.

Does the Wellbutrin work for your anxiety? There shouldn't be any issues. Think how many guys take stimulants while on cycle for energy during the day, weight loss, and workout energy.

Paxil is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety and on a side note is the worse to kill your sex drive.

Why were you prescribed Wellbutrin for anxiety, as it tends to increase anxiety in most people. It is for depression.

I was not prescribed the wellbutrin yet. My brother is taking it now and we have the same symptoms. I know my doc will give it to me to help me quit smoking as well as deal with my depression. The depression triggers the anxiety for me.

Personally I have taken Wellbutrin, and currently take cymbalta. Depression and Anxiety most often go hand and hand. I would not recommend Benzo's, ie... valium, xanax etc....highly addictive and not recommended for long term . cymbalta works better for me and honestly wellbutrin is prescribed too often under the added questionable benefit imo of stopping tobacco use. Didnt help me. My best advice is find what is causing the depression/anxiety on the inside while on meds. Prescription aids can only mask the real problems/baggage we pick up and carry around in life for so long. Good luck bro. pm me if needed. Peace.

I have been on Wellbutrin before, and switched because it made me feel very much anxiety. And I was prescribed this to quit smoking. To cover my depression I am prescribed Paxil. I take Clonapin for the anxiety effects from the Paxil since all anti-depressants i have taken give me slight anxiety. I took the least of all evils by choosing Paxil as the sex issue comes into play. I get my nut though, just have to.......... anyway same with my wife, except she takes Cymbalta now and is happier than me lol.

Anti-anxiety meds are opiate based.
anti-depression are not usually opiate based.

Must watch opiate based as if used for recreation, when you run out, withdrawls are a bummer and they last (withdrawls) way longer than you think.

I think Wellbutrin can tend to increase anxiety. SSRIs like Paxil are usually prescribed for depression with anxiety.

anti-D's are prescribed to buffer the addictive nature of benzos....you know your self better than anyone else. do some self-monitoring and ask the ones you trust if you are better/worse.......no one pill is a cure all for all, everyone is different, and don't experiment according to another success......

For ME.... Effexor is the best for: depression, anxiety, social phobia.

Keep a supple of valium for back up. Wouldn't wish those episodes on anyone.

Effexor makes you feel happy, confident, and no anxiety.

Sex sides can be overcome with some practice, a little cabergoline, and cialis.

Most bodybuilders have social phobia
If we go out were afraid of being asked about steroids, and all the other bullshit.
Sometimes just eazier to avoid it all.

But yet we have no probelm socializing with other bodybuilders in and out of the gym,
I call it the fear of regular people that do not understand what we like to do and why we do it.

Correction, sorry I didn't do this earlier i just got home. Diazapam family is clonapin, zanaz, valium, and those. Forgive as I gave mis-info...... duh what was on my mind.......

terrible info anxiety meds aren't opiate based they are benzos a completely different class of drugs altogether.. opiates are for pain managment.. oxycontin hydrocodien basically all of yur synthetic heroin painkillers very addictive.. benzos are also very addictive there withdraws can be fatal

I've been taking Clonzopan for 7 years at 0.5mg.
Im at the end of a 19 Norandrostendion cycle, I have been fine.
I'm going to be starting a testosterone enanthate cycle now. so, I guess we all learn form these threads. :theshadow :chomp: :p :p :p :p

I know alot of bros take benzos to deal with anxiety on here but as has been made clear they are highly addictive (apparently moreso than heroin). Pregabalin, trade name lyrica, is supposed to be good for generalised anxiety disorder and has less of a sedative effect so may be better for training. It is also non-addictive. As for Wellbutrin, I don't know but don't most anti-ds take weeks to kick in?

Many people claim to experience anxiety from Wellbutrin. For me it has worked well, I have been on it for a long time, most do not experience sexual side effects, I however do.

This is a chemical imbalance issue. A neurological condition.
Not something you can shake off. It's a lack of serotonin.

That imbalance causes all kinds of really bad shit... including depression, panic attacks, social phobia, anxiety, fear to leave your house. It's very real.
You feel paralyzed.

heres an idea.. if people wouldn't give advice on topics they have no knowledge of, nobody would have to worry about it.

Please keep in mind that Wellbutrin does not effect Serotonin reuptake but another chemical entirely.

None of the anxiolytics or antidepressants currently in use are opiate based. You are thinking of analgesics (pain-killers).

I take paxil year round and have taken it while on with no issues. I tried wellbutrin and it wasn't for me. I was antisocial.

I don't see any contraindication or interaction.
Go ahead.
